We're Ruth and Danielle, the women behind Pure Paws. We are neighbours who crossed paths when we each brought home our lively puppies, Bradley the Cavapoo and Gus the Toy Poodle. The pups quickly became inseparable playmates and soon beautiful canine and human friendships blossomed.
For the dogs, becoming BFFs was all about the rough and tumble. Of course, for us humans, conversations revolved around our furry friends. We discovered that we were both frustrated by the lack of sustainable and ethically sourced options in the pet product market and the saturation of mass produced, plastic based accessories by companies - some with questionable manufacturing policies and processes.
We wanted something different.
We wanted to create more than a store, but a community for conscientious pet parents seeking accessories that are kind to pets, people and the planet. We delved deep to discover British makers with our same core values, and find them we did! We're excited to be working with some of the most talented and ethically minded founders and craftspeople in the UK who care so deeply about creating truly sustainable, beautiful accessories for the pets of our world.
